Feng Shui for September 2026: where the money is, where the opportunities are, and the sectors better left alone

September amplifies what was already there

September 2026 has a very interesting particularity: the monthly energies of the Flying Stars double those of the year.

This means the favourable sectors can become even more productive, while the more difficult areas of the home may ask for a little more attention.

And here I want to say something important.

In Feng Shui it is not enough to say: “the East is good, I'll move to the East”. What matters a great deal is the real configuration of the house — the entrance, the bedroom, the study, the shapes outside, and the fundamental Feng Shui of the home itself.

But the monthly energy can show us very well where it is worth being more active, and where it is wiser not to force things.

South-East — growth, money, promotion and new ideas

For me, the South-East is one of the most interesting sectors of September.

It is an area associated with development, rising income, opportunity, communication and expansion.

If you have a project you want to make more visible, this is where I would work.

If you want to start promoting a product, create content, learn something new, build professional relationships or reach new people, the South-East is worth using.

It is very good for:

• promotion and marketing;
• meetings and networking;
• study;
• teaching;
• developing a business;
• launching or continuing a project;
• activities that need to grow over time.

If the general Feng Shui of the house allows it, you can use this area for your desk, your work, or even your bed.

In the Flying Stars tradition, this sector is also considered favourable for the energy of fertility and family growth.

In other words: if you want to grow something in September, the South-East is worth watching.

East — money, business and expansion

The East also comes through beautifully this month.

Here we are speaking about the energy of work, profit, resources and expansion.

If you want to negotiate a salary, look for a better job, increase your number of clients or grow a business, this is one of the areas I would use.

You can use the East for very concrete things: financial planning, business projects, negotiations, building your client base, carefully considered investments, or simply your daily work.

If you have the possibility of working from this part of the house, September can be a very good period for it.

North — career, discipline and consolidation

The North does not necessarily bring the spectacular success that appears overnight.

It brings something that may be even more valuable: stability and consolidation.

It is the energy of work done well, of responsibility, of things carried through to the end, and of a professional position that begins to grow more solid.

You may receive more responsibility. You may be noticed more. You may feel you have to prove something.

But it is precisely through that process that progress can appear.

If you have unfinished projects, use the North to close them.

If you have something long-term to build, it is good for that too.

The only word of caution is not to turn ambition into overload. Sometimes we want to advance so badly that we forget the body and the mind also need a pause.

North-East — plenty of creativity, but also the temptation to spend

The North-East is very interesting.

It brings creativity, study, ideas, curiosity, romance and the desire to try new things.

It sounds wonderful. And it can be.

The problem appears when inspiration starts to cost.

“I'll buy one more course.”

“I'll get this as well.”

“I'll invest a little more in my hobby.”

And all those seemingly small amounts add up.

So if you use the North-East for creativity and study, very good. But keep a financial limit as well.

The same idea can apply to relationships. There may be enthusiasm, attraction, or the appearance of an interesting person — but not every intense connection should automatically be read as one built for the long term.

Enjoy the energy, but keep your discernment.

In certain Feng Shui schools the Fire element is used here, including candles, as a traditional remedy. Obviously, if you use candles, do so only in safe conditions and never leave them unattended.

South — less activation, more quiet

The South is one of the sectors I would not stir up too much in September.

The more difficult annual energy is amplified, and traditionally this sector is associated with losses, obstacles, unexpected problems and vulnerability.

This does not mean that if you walk into the room in the South, something bad will automatically happen.

That is not how Feng Shui works.

But if you have the possibility of choosing between several areas of the house for important activities, there are better sectors this month.

Here I would avoid: impulsive investments, unnecessary financial risk, very strong Feng Shui activations, excessive noise, or decisions made in a hurry.

In the Feng Shui tradition, metal remedies or the well-known salt and coins cure are sometimes used, depending on the configuration of the home.

More important than any remedy, though, is behaviour.

Sometimes the best “Feng Shui activation” is simply not doing something foolish with your money.

South-West — be careful what you say, and to whom

The South-West holds one of my favourite themes to look at in September, because it does not speak only about money.

It speaks about words.

You may say too much.

You may answer too quickly.

You may enter a discussion that was never meant to become a conflict.

Or information about you may travel further than you would like.

The energy of this sector is traditionally associated with disputes, misunderstandings, gossip, tension and losses that come from our relationships with others.

So, in September: not every provocation deserves a reply.

Sometimes we want the last word and end up paying far more for it than we imagined.

In business, pay attention to contracts, promises, discussions, and the small expenses that accumulate.

And above all: reread before you send.

A message written in thirty seconds can create a problem that lasts three weeks.

West — the temptation of quick success

The West carries a very interesting energy, because it can begin beautifully.

An opportunity may appear. A gain. A proposal. Something that gives you the feeling: “This is it. I've found the formula.”

And this is exactly where you have to be careful.

The energy can encourage competition, impulsiveness, and taking on greater risk than necessary.

Imagine a game in which you win the first two rounds and start believing you will always win. That is when you begin raising the stakes.

In the West, September says: decide in advance how far you will go.

North-West — postponement, and things that move slowly

The North-West can give you that strange feeling of wanting to do something without quite starting.

You prepare. You analyse a little more. You check again. You leave it for tomorrow.

And suddenly two weeks have passed.

So if you work a great deal in this area and notice procrastination, try to give your activity a very clear structure.

Do not say: “Tomorrow I'll work on the project.”

Say: “Tomorrow, between 10:00 and 11:00, I'll finish this page.”

The energy can be used far better when you give it structure.

In traditional Feng Shui, substantial metal elements are sometimes recommended to balance this sector.

So where should you spend your time in September?

There is no need to run through the house activating every corner.

Choose the sector according to your objective.

• For money and growth: East and South-East.
• For career and consolidating your professional position: North.
• For study and creativity: North-East, but with control over spending.
• For the South and South-West: more calm, less activation.
• In the West: avoid impulsive risk and pointless competition.
• In the North-West: fight postponement consciously.

And remember something.

Feng Shui does not mean placing an object in a corner and waiting for it to change your life.

For me, its value is far more interesting when we use it as a map of space and of the moment.

The house can show you where to accelerate. Where to build. Where to pay attention. And sometimes, above all, where not to force things.

September 2026 is exactly that kind of month: where the energy supports growth, use it. Where things are tense, you do not necessarily have to fight them.

Sometimes intelligence means knowing where to invest your energy, and where to keep it.
